Dec. 13 (Bloomberg) — ACME Bikaner Solar Power Pvt., a unit of telecommunications tower-equipment provider ACME Tele Power Ltd., has won a bid to set up a 25 megawatt solar plant in India’s eastern state of Odisha.

The company has 50 days to sign the agreement with the state agency, A.K. Choudhury, deputy director, Odisha Renewable Energy Development Agency, said today in a phone interview. ACME Bikaner will have 180 days from signing to generating electricity from the photovoltaic plant, he said.

ACME Bikaner will invest 2 billion rupees ($37 million) to set up the plant, it said in an e-mailed statement today. The company was the lowest bidder with a selling price of 7.28 rupees per unit, according to the statement.
