Air France-KLM Plans to Fly Weekly Biofuel Paris-Toulouse Route

Oct. 21 (Bloomberg) — Air France-KLM plans to fly weekly
Toulouse-Paris flights using kerosene blended with clean fuel.

The airline will use the route to demonstrate to public
authorities the need to develop biofuels for the industry, the
company said today in an e-mailed statement. It will fly planes
with a 10 percent blend of biofuel until September next year.

Airlines are moving toward using clean fuel after a pledge
by the International Air Transport Association to cut emissions
by half by 2050 from 2005 levels.
