Bilfinger Agrees to Buy Water Tech Firm Johnson Screens
Jan. 18 (Bloomberg) — Bilfinger SE, Germany’s second- largest construction company by revenue, said it agreed to acquire the U.S. water treatment group Johnson Screens Inc. to expand in the industry. Terms weren’t disclosed.
The Mannheim-based company said today in a statement that Johnson Screens, a provider of industrial filters and water well screens since 1904, has revenue of about 160 million euros ($214 million) a year and employs 1,200 workers.
The New Brighton, Minnesota-based company specializes in liquid and solid filtration and screening solutions for water infrastructure and fluids processing.
