Corsan to Invest $488 Million in Brazil Water, BNAmericas Says
Jan. 22 (Bloomberg) — Cia. Riograndense de Saneamento- Corsan, a Brazilian water utility, plans to invest 1 billion reais ($488 million) in sanitation projects this year, BNAmericas reported, citing a company spokesman.
Corsan, as the company is known, will invest about 790 million reais in sewer works and 210 million reais in water supply infrastructure, the news service said yesterday in a report without providing the name of its source. The utility operates in the southern state of Rio Grande do Sul.
One of its biggest planned projects will involve expanding a sewer system in Alvorada and Viamao at a cost of 115 million reais, according to the article.
