JFE Engineering Unit to Build Biomass Plant for Erex in Japan

Sept. 12 (Bloomberg) — JFE Holdings Inc.’s engineering
unit will build a 50-megawatt biomass power station in
southwestern Japan for Erex Co.

The plant, to be built in Oita prefecture, will use palm
kernel shells and coal as fuel, JFE Engineering Corp. said in a
statement.

JFE Engineering won an engineering, procurement and
construction order for the plant, which will start running in
the fall of 2016, according to the statement.
