(Bloomberg) — Nippon Paper Industries Co. and Mitsubishi
Corp. will build a power station in northern Japan that will use
coal and biomass as fuel.
The 149-megawatt plant will be set up at Nippon Paper’s
Ishinomaki Mill in Miyagi prefecture, according to joint
statement Friday. Woody biomass will be used for as much as 30
percent of the generation and coal for the rest, the companies
said.
The plant will start running in March 2018, according to
the statement.
