Jan. 24 (Bloomberg) — Praj Industries Ltd., an Indian maker of equipment for sugar mills and biofuel refineries, agreed to build an ethanol plant for the Colombian agricultural company Riopaila Castilla SA.

The $20 million facility will be installed at Riopaila’s sugar plant in the Valle del Cauca region and will be able to produce 400,000 liters (106,000 gallons) of ethanol a day from sugar cane, Pune, India-based Praj said today in a statement. Praj expects to complete it within a year.
