Solar Frontier to Supply Panels for 26MW Solar Project in US

(Bloomberg) — Solar Frontier K.K., a unit of Showa Shell
Sekiyu K.K., will supply photovoltaic panels for a 26-megawatt
solar-power station near Raleigh, North Carolina.

The Tokyo-based company signed a supply agreement with a
California-based solar equipment supplier and began the first of
a series of shipments in late August, it said in a statement
Tuesday, without specifying the supplier.

The plant will be constructed by Vaughn Industries LLC,
according to the statement.

Solar Frontier makes panels using copper, indium, gallium
and selenium, known as CIGS. Solar Frontier competes with Tempe,
Arizona-based First Solar Inc. in the thin-film market.
