(Bloomberg) — Vestas Wind Systems A/S, the world’s largest
turbine maker, agreed to supply equipment with 78 megawatts of
capacity to Sempra Energy for a wind farm in Minnesota.
The 39 2-megawatt turbines will be delivered in the second
quarter of 2016 to the Black Oak Getty wind farm, the Aarhus,
Denmark-based manufacturer said Tuesday in a statement on its
website. The sale includes a five-year service contract. Terms
weren’t disclosed.
Minnesota Municipal Power Agency has agreed to buy the wind
farm’s output under a 20-year contract. Black Oak Getty will
produce enough electricity for about 30,000 homes.
