(Bloomberg) — Vestas Wind Systems A/S, the world’s largest
turbine maker, won orders to supply more than 500 megawatts of
equipment in three countries on two continents.
Vestas is supplying components with 429 megawatts of
capacity under two U.S. orders with SunEdison Inc., according to
statements on its website Tuesday. It will also supply 33
megawatts in Finland and 39 megawatts in Denmark.
SunEdison will use turbines with 274 megawatts of capacity
for a wind farm in Texas, and 155 megawatts for a project in
Maine.
In Finland, Suomen Hyotytuuli Oy is buying 33 megawatts of
wind gear, while in Denmark, Skovgaard Invest ApS ordered 39
megawatts of capacity under a long-term frame agreement.
All the orders include service contracts. Prices weren’t
disclosed.
