Sept. 3 (Bloomberg) — Chugoku Electric Power Co. and Air
Water Inc. may build a 100-megawatt power plant in western Japan
that uses woody biomass and coal as fuel.
The companies are considering conducting environmental
impact assessments for the plant, they said in a joint statement
today.
The station, to be set up at an Air Water factory in
Yamaguchi prefecture, is expected to start running by March
2019, according to the statement. Osaka-based Air Water is a
supplier of industrial gases.
