Sept. 17 (Bloomberg) — Chile’s government will fund the
early development of renewable energy projects totaling 740
megawatts.
The country’s Renewable Energy Center, known as CER, is
offering $1.3 million to 51 projects with a capacity of as much
as 50 megawatts each, the government said on its website.
The projects include 15 small hydroelectric plants, 12
solar farms, 15 wind farms, 7 biomass plants, and 1 transmission
line.
The funding will be for initial and advanced studies for
the renewable-energy projects.
