(Bloomberg) — Hanwha Q Cells Co., the Korean solar module
maker, agreed to supply panels with 75 megawatts of capacity to
German project developer Juwi AG.
The photovoltaic modules will be delivered to Juwi’s
Boulder, Colorado-based subsidiary for projects in the U.S.,
Jeff Juger, a Hanwha Q Cells spokesman, said Monday by
telephone. Financial terms and details on specific projects
weren’t disclosed.
Juwi Solar Inc. has built projects in nine states including
Arizona, Florida and Texas, according to a statement Monday.
U.S. solar demand this year may reach almost 9 gigawatts as
it surpasses 58 gigawatts globally, according to data compiled
by Bloomberg New Energy Finance.
