(Bloomberg) — Obayashi Corp. will enter the biomass power
generation business with a plan to build a 14-megawatt station
in central Japan.
Construction of the 10 billion yen ($80 million) plant will
begin in August, with the station expected to generate 2 billion
yen in annual sales, the company said in a statement Monday.
The plant will use fuels such as timber from forest
thinning, according to the statement.
