(Bloomberg) — Itochu Corp. and partners completed a 34-megawatt solar power station in western Japan.
Sharp Corp. supplied solar panels for the plant in Ehime
prefecture, Itochu said in a statement Thursday. The electricity
will be sold to Shikoku Electric Power Co.
It’s the company’s first operating solar power station in
Japan, according to the statement. Imabari Shipbuilding Co. also
took part in the project.
