(Bloomberg) — Foresight Solar Fund Ltd. agreed to a buy a
project in central England and is considering further purchases.
The 30-megawatt solar facility in Nottinghamshire will
expand Foresight’s portfolio to 263 megawatts, the London-listed
fund said Thursday in an e-mailed statement, without disclosing
terms. It expects the project to receive government subsidies
once operational.
Further acquisitions may include a 51-megawatt facility, it
said. The company is negotiating purchases after gaining
exclusive rights to buy a pipeline of projects totaling more
than 100 megawatts.
