SoftBank Unit to Build 14MW Solar Power Station North of Tokyo

(Bloomberg) — SB Energy Corp., the clean energy unit of
SoftBank Group Corp., will build a 14-megawatt solar power
station in Tochigi prefecture, north of Tokyo.

The plant will start operations in December 2016 and is
expected to generate enough electricity for about 3,900 homes,
SB Energy said in a statement Thursday. No financial terms were
mentioned.

In a separate statement, the company said a 1.3-megawatt
solar power station in the western prefecture of Wakayama
started running.
