EDF EN Canada Building 74-Megawatt Quebec Wind Power Farm

Nov. 11 (Bloomberg) — EDF Energies Nouvelles Co., the
renewable energy unit of Europe’s biggest power producer, began
construction on a 74-megawatt wind farm in Quebec.

The Mont-Rothery project, located on public land in the
Haute-Gaspesie and Cote-de-Gaspe regional county municipalities,
is expected to start selling power to the grid by the end of
next year, the company’s Montreal-based EDF EN Canada unit said
today in a statement.

The C$175 million ($154 million) project is the last of
seven awarded to the company by provincial utility Hydro-Quebec.
