Sept. 17 (Bloomberg) — Iberdrola SA and developer
Neoenergia SA were authorized to start operations at two wind
farms in the Brazilian state of Bahia.
Brazil’s electricity regulator, known as Aneel, granted
permission yesterday for Caetite II and III to start generating
power, according to a decision published by the official
gazette. The facilities, which each have a capacity of 30
megawatts, must begin operating in 30 days.
Officials with Spain’s Iberdrola and Brazil’s Neoenergia
didn’t immediately respond to e-mail and phone requests for
comment.
