United Utilities to Invest $156 Million in Renewables

SunEdison to Build 33 Megawatts of Solar in Southern California

The 17 systems in Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Los Angeles counties are part of a plan by Edison International’s Southern California Edison utility to modernize its grid, Maryland Heights, Missouri-based SunEdison said in a statement Thursday. The utility has agreed to buy the electricity under a 20-year contract. Terms weren’t disclosed.

Hanergy Parent Says It’s Operating Normally After Stock Plunge

The five-paragraph statement on Hanergy Holding’s Chinese language website didn’t mention the drop in the shares of its Hong Kong-listed affiliate, Hanergy Thin Film Power Group Ltd. It also made no mention of a report by Reuters that regulators have for several weeks been examining claims the shares were manipulated or of why chairman Li Hejun didn’t show up for an annual shareholder meeting.

Principal Solar Seeking $27.5 Million in Initial Public Offering

The company plans to offer 2.5 million shares priced from $9 to $11 each and has applied to list the stock on the Nasdaq Capital Market under the ticker “PSWW,” Principal Solar said in a statement Wednesday.
