Foresight Buys Three U.K. Solar Farms After Government Cuts

The London-listed fund acquired 34 megawatts of operational assets through a venture with Big60Million Ltd., Foresight said Friday in a statement. The projects in Warwickshire and Kent all currently receive subsidies through the government’s Renewables Obligation program. Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.

Duke Energy Buys Solar Power Project in North Carolina

Duke’s clean-energy arm acquired the facility in Shawboro from Ecoplexus Inc., the San Luis Obispo, California-based unit said Tuesday in a statement. It’s expected to start working by the end of the year, producing enough clean electricity to supply about 4,000 homes. Charlotte-based Duke has 16 solar plants working or under construction in North Carolina.

Canadian Solar Gets Manufacturers Life Loan for Ontario Plant

The 9-megawatt project currently being built is expected to start working in the last quarter of the year, the company said Tuesday in a statement. Once operational it will be acquired by Concord Green Energy Inc. No terms were disclosed.

SunEdison Buys Mark Group to Sell to U.K. Homes, Businesses

The acquisition provides a direct commercial and residential sales channel for SunEdison across England, the Maryland Heights, Missouri-based company said Tuesday in a statement. Mark Group, which has 2 million British customers, provides power-saving solar, heating and insulation systems.
