Solar Power Inc. to Build 30-Megawatt Project in Inner Mongolia

Solar Power’s Xinyu Xinwei New Energy unit signed a construction agreement with Alxa League ZhiWei PV Power Co., the Roseville, California-based company said today in a statement. The project is expected to connect to the power grid by the end of March. Financial terms weren’t disclosed.

Altus Gets $125 Million From Franklin Square for Solar Projects

Blackstone Group LP’s GSO Capital Partners LP advised on the financing, said Tom Athan, managing partner and co-founder of Altus. Including third-party tax equity and debt, the funding is enough for solar projects worth about $200 million.

Eletrosul to Borrow $34 Million for Brazil Wind and Solar Power

The company will borrow 11.3 million reais from the country’s research-financing agency Finep to develop wind and solar projects, the Florianopolis, Santa Catarina-based company said in a statement today. It’s borrowing an additional 70.1 million reais from the state development bank to expand transmission lines in the country’s south. Eletrosul officials didn’t immediately respond to e-mail and phone requests for comment.

SunPower Supplying 41 Megawatts of Panels for Projects in France

La Compagnie du Vent, a unit of the French utility, is building three solar farms with 12 megawatts of capacity each and one with 5 megawatts, San Jose, California-based SunPower said today in a statement. Terms of the sale weren’t disclosed.

John Laing Environmental Raises $80 Million for Clean Power Plan

The investor will use the so-called revolving credit facility to buy projects that include solar and wind power plants as well as waste and water processing facilities, it said today in an e-mailed statement. It will also be used for working capital requirements. The debt will be repaid through cash from its assets and future fund raisings, it said.

Triodos Uses Vivienne Westwood Crowdfund Site for Windfarm Cash

Triodos started fundraising today with Trillion Fund, an Internet platform that seeks cash for wind and solar plants in the U.K., the unit of Dutch ethical lender Triodos Bank NV said in an e-mailed statement. People can invest as little as 50 pounds with the share price set a 2.28 pounds.
