(Bloomberg) — Solar Frontier K.K., the solar panel-making
unit of Showa Shell Sekiyu K.K., will develop and sell as much
as 100 megawatts of solar-power projects with New Energy for the
World GmbH.
Construction of the first project is scheduled to start in
the third quarter this year, Solar Frontier said in an e-mailed
statement Wednesday. The partners plan to develop about 20
projects, Satoshi Yoshida, a spokesman for Solar Frontier, said
by phone.
Solar Frontier makes panels using copper, indium, gallium
and selenium, known as CIGS.
