(Bloomberg) — Vestas Wind Systems A/S, the world’s largest
turbine maker, agreed to supply equipment with about 83
megawatts of capacity to a project in Turkey.
Vestas will begin delivering and installing the 25 3.3-megawatt turbines in the first quarter of 2016 to Bak Enerji
Uretimi A.S., the Aarhus, Denmark-based manufacturer said in a
statement Wednesday. The sale includes a 10-year service
agreement. Terms weren’t disclosed.
The wind farm is expected to be operational in the second
half of next year. Vestas has installed 846 megawatts of wind-power capacity in Turkey, according to its website.
