(Bloomberg) — Vestas Wind Systems A/S, the world’s largest
turbine maker, agreed to supply equipment with 99 megawatts of
capacity for a pair of projects in Mexico.
Vestas will begin delivering the 30 3.3-megawatt turbines
to Isolux de Mexico SA in the fourth quarter, the Aarhus,
Denmark-based manufacturer said in a statement on its website
Thursday. The sale includes a 15-year service agreement. Terms
weren’t disclosed.
The La Mesa and Ciudad Victora wind farms both will have
49.5 megawatts of capacity. The order is the second received by
Vestas this month in the northeastern state of Tamaulipas,
following a 149-megawatt contract announced May 8.
