Dec. 1 (Bloomberg) — Argentina’s Santa Fe province will
hold an auction Dec. 17 for developers to build its first solar
farm.
The 1 megawatt project in central Argentina will cost about
34 million pesos ($4 million) and must go into operation within
six months, according to a statement on the state government
website Nov. 28.
The solar park will help the country meet its goal of
getting at least 8 percent of its energy from renewable sources
by 2016, according to the statement.
