(Bloomberg) — Altus Power America Management LLC, a U.S.
investor in renewable-energy, completed two solar projects in
Massachusetts with a combined capacity of 5.6 megawatts.
Altus spent about $15 million developing a 4.3-megawatt
solar farm in Hampden and a 1.3-megawatt power plant in
Sheffield, Tom Athan, managing partner and co-founder of Altus,
said in an e-mail Wednesday. Both projects are selling the
output to local municipalities under 20-year contracts.
Altus, based in Old Greenwich, Connecticut, now owns and
operates 23 distributed-generation projects in the U.S., with at
least a dozen more in development, Athan said. The firm in
October said it was getting $125 million from Franklin Square
Capital Partners to invest in commercial-scale solar systems.
