Canadian Solar Supplying 146.4 Megawatts for Honduras Projects

Oct. 15 (Bloomberg) — Canadian Solar Inc., the largest
North American-based solar manufacturer, agreed to supply panels
with 146.4 megawatts of capacity for two utility-scale projects
in Honduras.

The two 73.2-megawatt projects in southern Honduras are
expected to be complete by March, Guelph, Ontario-based Canadian
Solar said today in a statement. Financial terms weren’t
disclosed.

Solar Power SA and Compania Hondurena de Energia Solar SA
are developing the solar farms, which will generate enough
electricity for approximately 45,000 homes, according to the
statement.
