Canadian Solar to Provide 4 Megawatts of Storage in Ontario

Nov. 10 (Bloomberg) — Canadian Solar Inc. will provide 4
megawatts of energy storage to support Ontario’s power grid.

The company will supply reactive power, voltage support and
energy storage using lithium batteries, Canadian Solar said in a
statement today. It will provide operations and maintenance for
three years. Terms weren’t disclosed.

“This marks a new milestone for Canadian Solar as we make
further progress on our move forward from being a module
manufacturer to becoming a total energy solution provider,”
Shawn Qu, chairman and chief executive officer of Canadian
Solar, said in the statement.
