Gamesa Supplying 100 Megawatts of Turbines to Hebei Construction

(Bloomberg) — Gamesa Corp. Tecnologica SA, Spain’s largest
turbine maker, agreed to supply equipment with 100 megawatts of
capacity to Hebei Construction & Investment Group Co. for a wind
farm in China.

Gamesa will begin delivering and installing the 50 2-megawatt turbines in the third quarter, the Zamudio, Spain-based
manufacturer said Wednesday in a statement on its website. The
Fengdianzhiqing project in Zhangjiakou is expected to begin
generating power the following quarter.

Gamesa has won orders from Hebei Construction totaling 250
megawatts since 2008, and has installed more than 3.6 gigawatts
of wind-power equipment in China, according to the statement.
