Hanwha SolarOne Supplies 20 Megawatts of Photovoltaics to Haike

Dec. 3 (Bloomberg) — Hanwha SolarOne Co., the photovoltaic
manufacturing unit of South Korea’s Hanwha Group, supplied
modules with 20 megawatts of capacity to Haike Engineering
Holding Co. for solar farms in China.

The panels were delivered last month for ground-mounted
projects in Dunhuang, Gansu Province, the Qidong, China-based
unit said today in a statement. Terms of the sale weren’t
disclosed.

About 30 percent of Hanwha SolarOne’s third-quarter
shipments were to customers in China, a fivefold increase from
the previous quarter, Chief Financial Officer Jay Seo said in
the statement.

“The fourth quarter will also be characterized by a strong
showing in the China market for us as we look to expand our
presence in the largest solar market,” he said.
