Hanwha SolarOne Wins Order to Supply 20 Megawatts to Hong Solar

Dec. 4 (Bloomberg) — Hanwha SolarOne Co., the photovoltaic
manufacturing unit of South Korea’s Hanwha Group, won an order
to supply modules with 20 megawatts of capacity to Hong Solar
Co. for an Inner Mongolia project.

Panel shipments for the utility-scale solar farm in Baotou
are expected to be completed this month, the Qidong, China-based
unit said today in a statement. Terms of the sale weren’t
disclosed.

The company said yesterday that third-quarter shipments to
customers in China had increased fivefold from the previous
quarter. Chief Financial Officer Jay Seo said he expects a
“strong showing” in the fourth quarter.
