(Bloomberg) — Hitachi Zosen Corp. completed a 6-megawatt
biomass power plant in Ibaraki prefecture, northeast of Tokyo.
The 3 billion yen ($25 million) plant will produce enough
electricity for 12,000 homes, the Osaka-based company said in a
statement Wednesday.
Hitachi Zosen and its partners built a 1.3 billion yen
manufacturing plant for wood chips adjacent to the power
station, according to the statement.
