Japan Asia Building $33 Million Solar Plant in Joint Venture

(Bloomberg) — Japan Asia Investment Co. is working with
Renewable Japan Co. to build a 4 billion yen ($33 million) solar
power plant in the Shizuoka prefecture in central Japan.

Capacity will be 11 megawatts of power with completion due
June 2017, Tokyo-based Japan Asia said in a statement Thursday.
Power produced at the plant will be sold to Tokyo Electric Power
Co., it said.

Japan Asia also plans to build a 29-megawatt solar power
station in the western prefecture of Nara, according to the
statement.
