Kyocera, Partners to Build 92MW Solar Power Plant in South Japan

(Bloomberg) — Kyocera Corp. and partners will build a 92-megawatt solar power station in the southwestern prefecture of
Kagoshima.

Construction of the 35 billion yen ($284 million) plant
will start this year and operations will begin by the end of
March 2018, according to an e-mailed statement from Kyocera.

Gaia Power, Kyudenko Corp. and Century Tokyo Leasing Corp.
will take part in the project, according to the statement. The
plant, which will use panels made by Kyocera, will produce
enough electricity for 30,500 households.
