Marubeni to Expand Sales of Solar Panels to Japanese Homes

(Bloomberg) — Japanese trading house Marubeni Corp. will
expand its industrial-use solar panel sales to the residential
market from April, the Tokyo-based company said in a statement
Tuesday.

The panels will be supplied by Hanwha Q Cells Co. and JA
Solar Holdings
, according to a Marubeni spokesman, and marketed
to house builders and construction companies. Marubeni and Zep
Solar Inc.
signed a sole distributorship agreement last year for
Zep’s mounting systems in Japan.

Marubeni has shipped 700 megawatts of industry-use panels
in Japan.
