(Bloomberg) — Solar Frontier K.K., a unit of Showa Shell
Sekiyu K.K., will build a 30 megawatt solar power station with a
partner in southwestern Japan.
The plant will be set up in Nagasaki prefecture by a
venture between Solar Frontier and Chopro Co., a liquefied gas
provider and solar project developer based in Nagasaki, the two
companies said in a statement.
Construction will start in April and the plant will begin
running in July 2016, according to the statement.
Solar Frontier makes panels using copper, indium, gallium
and selenium, known as CIGS.
