(Bloomberg) — Solar Frontier K.K., a unit of Showa Shell
Sekiyu K.K., will supply 100 megawatts of solar panels to
Welspun Renewables Energy Pvt. for projects in India.
A series of power purchase agreements has been signed
between Welspun and several state governments in India, Welspun
and Solar Frontier said in a statement Tuesday.
Welspun is targeting to have more than 1,000 megawatts of
solar and wind capacity online in fiscal 2015, according to the
statement.
Solar Frontier, based in Tokyo, makes panels using copper,
indium, gallium and selenium, known as CIGS.
