Dec. 12 (Bloomberg) — Sumitomo Corp., a Japanese trading
company, won a contract to construct two geothermal generation
units at a station in Indonesia for PT Pertamina Geothermal
Energy.
The Tokyo-based company and PT Rekayasa Industri will work
together to add the two units at Lahendong station, Sumitomo
said in a statement today. Each unit will have 20 megawatts in
capacity.
Fuji Electric Co. will supply steam turbines and power
generators, according to the statement.
Construction is expected to be completed by March 2017 and
loans will be provided by the World Bank, Sumitomo said. The
company has constructed and delivered three other units at
Lahendong.
