Takara Leben Developing 15MW Solar Plant on Former Golf Course

Dec. 9 (Bloomberg) — Takara Leben Co., a developer of
condominiums, is turning a golf course it owns into a solar
power station near Tokyo.

The 15-megawatt plant is under construction on the former
golf course in Tochigi prefecture, Takara Leben said in a joint
statement with Solar Frontier K.K. and Hitachi Zosen Corp.
today.

Solar Frontier will supply solar panels and Hitachi Zosen
will be in charge of engineering, procurement and construction,
according to the statement.

Takara Leben has 8 operating solar power stations in Japan
with a combined capacity of 10 megawatts and wants to expand the
capacity to 100 megawatts, according to the statement.
