Tama Home Completes 17MW Solar Power Plant in Southwestern Japan

(Bloomberg) — Tama Home Co., a Japanese house builder,
completed a 17-megawatt solar power station in the southwestern
prefecture of Fukuoka.

The plant, which uses solar panels supplied by Sharp Corp.,
started running on Feb. 1, the Tokyo-based company said in a
statement today.

The station is the first solar project for Tama Home and
all the power generated will be sold to Kyushu Electric Power
Co
. under Japan’s incentive program for renewables, according to
the statement.
