Trina Supplying 28.5 Megawatts of Panels for Solar Farms in U.K.

Nov. 13 (Bloomberg) — Trina Solar Ltd., China’s largest
profitable panel manufacturer, delivered modules with 28.5
megawatts of capacity to two companies for utility-scale
projects in the U.K.

Sustainable Power Group and Camborne Capital bought the
panels, which are expected to be installed before a March 31
deadline to qualify for renewable obligation certificates,
Changzhou-based Trina said today in a statement. Terms of the
sale weren’t disclosed.

The government’s Renewable Obligation program awards
premium payments to generators of clean energy.
