(Bloomberg) — U.K. clean-energy jobs grew as much as 9
percent last year, according to a renewables-industry lobby.
Employment reached 112,026, the Renewable Energy
Association said Friday in an e-mailed statement. Jobs rose the
most in biomass heating, up about 19 percent, it said.
London was the strongest region, accounting for 21,034
jobs, followed by the southeast and northwest.
The figures reflect greater confidence in renewables and
the wider economy, Chief Executive Officer Nina Skorupska said.
